Mostly recorded live at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey on February 4, 1986. A few tracks at the end of Disc Two are from various other sources.
The majority of this 2-disc set consists of the Maxwell's show, one of the better shows from the end of Bob's tenure with the band. The setlist is pretty typical of that time period, and the performance is comparatively professional and focused (by 1985 Mats standards, anyway). Disc Two is filled out with various tracks, including the four-song soundcheck they performed earlier in the day at Maxwell's, the two performances from Saturday Night Live, three tracks from a live-in-the-studio performance at Dutch radio station VPRO, and one track from The Old Grey Whistle Test. The VPRO tracks include a couple of new songs which would later be recorded for Pleased to Meet Me, and offer a chance to hear what that album might have been like with Bob on it.
BONUS: This disc also features multimedia content: complete video versions of the four Maxwell's soundcheck songs (tracks 10, 11, 12, 13).

SOUND QUALITY: The Maxwell's show (all of Disc One and Disc Two tracks 1-9) is a stereo soundboard recording, and rates a 7 on a 1-10 scale. The rest of the tracks are mono soundboard recordings... the SNL tracks rate a 7, and the rest rate a 6.
